CHAPTER 3 —————— THEME: Hosea commanded to take Gomer again Although Hosea finds out that his wife has proved unfaithful, he is commanded to go and take Gomer again. Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine [Hos. 3:1]. “Go yet, love a woman”—that is, love your wife; she is your woman. “Beloved of her friend”—Hosea loved her although she
